Who you are buying from

The shop is run by Six Beat Watch, a sole trader in Portugal (NIF 246859946), Rua Professor Mark Athias, Lisboa. You can reach us at hello@sixbeatwatch.com. These terms apply to every purchase on this site by a consumer. They are in English; Portuguese law applies.

Buying a Watch

Each Order is for one unit of one Watch. Prices are in euros and include shipping to any country in the European Union, so the price you see is the price you pay. You can pay by card (including Apple Pay and Google Pay), MB WAY or a Multibanco reference. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card details.

When you press Buy now, we hold one unit for you while you pay: 30 minutes for card and MB WAY, 48 hours for a Multibanco reference. If payment doesn't arrive in that time, the unit goes back on sale. If a Multibanco payment arrives after the 48 hours, we still send the Watch if one is available; if not, we refund the payment in full and let you know.

The contract is made when your payment is confirmed. You then receive an email confirming your Order, with a private link to view it, and we issue an invoice for every payment.

Your right to withdraw (Watches)

You can withdraw from the purchase of a Watch within 14 days of the day you, or someone you name (other than the carrier), receive it, without giving a reason. To do so, tell us clearly by email at hello@sixbeatwatch.com, for example with the model form below.

Send the Watch back within 14 days of telling us, unworn beyond what you need to try it on, with everything it came with. The cost of sending it back is yours. We refund everything you paid, including the original shipping, within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal, using the same payment method. We may wait to refund until the Watch is back with us or you have sent proof that you posted it. You are responsible for any loss in value caused by handling the Watch beyond what is needed to check what it is, how it looks and how it works. How to send it back: Shipping & Returns.

Custom builds (Commissions)

Sending a Custom Request is free and commits you to nothing. If we can build it, we send you a Proposal: the spec, total price, Deposit and Balance, and an estimated build time. When you accept the Proposal, it becomes a Commission, and you pay the Deposit to start the build.

A Commission is a watch made to your specification, so Commissions have no right of withdrawal (Decreto-Lei 24/2014, article 17). The Deposit is non-refundable: it pays for parts bought and work done for your watch alone. You confirm both when you accept the Proposal.

When the watch is finished, we email you photos of it and a link to pay the Balance, which is when you give your shipping address. We send reminders. If the Balance is not paid within 14 days, counted from the day the watch is marked finished (the day we send that email), the Commission is cancelled automatically and the Deposit is kept.

If we can't finish your watch for any reason, we cancel the Commission (“Cancelled by maker”) and refund everything you have paid, the Deposit and any Balance, in full.

Guarantee

Every Watch and every Commission comes with the 3-year legal guarantee of conformity (Decreto-Lei 84/2021), counted from delivery. If something is wrong with your watch that was not caused by wear, an accident or misuse, tell us at hello@sixbeatwatch.com: we will repair or replace it, or, if that isn't possible, reduce the price or refund you. We pay the shipping both ways for guarantee repairs.

Complaints and disputes

Please tell us first at hello@sixbeatwatch.com; we will try to put things right. You can also use the Livro de Reclamações Eletrónico. If we can't agree, you can take the dispute to an alternative dispute resolution entity: CNIACC (Centro Nacional de Informação e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo). Nothing in these terms takes away the protection the law of your country gives you as a consumer.
