We collect only what we need to sell and build your watch.
Draft for review. This page has not yet been checked by the owner or a lawyer, and may change before the shop opens.
Who is responsible
Six Beat Watch (NIF 246859946), Rua Professor Mark Athias, Lisboa, is responsible for your personal data on this site (the “controller” under the GDPR). For anything about your data, email hello@sixbeatwatch.com.
What we collect
- When you buy a Watch: your name, email, phone number and shipping address, collected at checkout, and how you paid. Your card details go to Stripe only; we never see them.
- When you send a Custom Request: your name, email, Instagram handle (if you give it), your description, budget range, any Watches you link and any Inspiration Images you attach. If it becomes a Commission: the Proposal, payments, and the shipping address you give when paying the Balance.
- When you visit: anonymous visit statistics (pages viewed, the site or campaign link that brought you, device type and country). See “Cookies and analytics” below.
Why, and on what basis
- To take, ship and support your Order or Commission, and to email you about it: to perform our contract with you.
- To issue invoices and keep accounting records: because the law requires it.
- To count visits and see which posts lead to sales, and to keep spam off the Custom Request form: our legitimate interest in running the shop, using no personal profile.
We don't sell your data, use it for advertising, or send newsletters.
Who handles it for us
These companies process data on our behalf, only to provide their service:
- Stripe (payments): your payment and the checkout details above.
- Our email provider, [email provider]: sends your Order and Commission emails.
- Our hosting and image storage providers, [hosting provider] and [storage provider]: run the site and store photos and Inspiration Images.
- Our analytics provider, [analytics provider]: counts visits, without cookies.
Where one of them handles data outside the European Economic Area, it does so under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
- Orders, payments and invoices: 10 years, as Portuguese tax law requires.
- Inspiration Images are deleted 12 months after the Custom Request is declined, or 12 months after its Commission is shipped or cancelled. The rest of the request is kept with our records of the sale.
- Images you add to the Custom Request form but never send are deleted within four days.
- Custom Requests that never become a Commission: [period].
Only we see your Inspiration Images. The pages showing your Order, Custom Request or Commission are private: they can only be opened through links sent to you, so please don't share those links.
Cookies and analytics
The shop sets no cookies on its public pages, so there is no cookie banner. Our analytics count visits without cookies and without storing your IP address, so you can't be followed from one visit or site to another.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete or take a copy of your data, to restrict how we use it, or object to it, by emailing hello@sixbeatwatch.com. Some records, such as invoices, we must keep by law. You can also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, CNPD.
